Rally RN 1500 is part of the Brazilian Championship
The event officially opens in Caruaru and continues to São Miguel do Gostoso, crossing PE, PB and RN
The RN 1500 Rally is officially underway. This Monday (07), Caruaru, in the agreste region of Pernambuco, is welcoming the teams, competitors, press and organizers for the start of the technical activities for the 27th edition of the event. It's the first day of a week that promises a lot of adrenaline, challenges and breathtaking landscapes.
Throughout the day, administrative and technical inspections are taking place in the structure set up in the Luiz Gonzaga Patio, which has become the 1500 Support Park, on the banks of the BR-232 highway. Drivers and navigators go through the CBM and CBA checks and check the last details on the navigation equipment. After this stage, they go on to inspect the Stella, which is essential equipment for safety, signaling and overtaking. At the end of the day, the competitors take part in the technical briefing, where they receive the latest guidance on how the race will work.
The city of Caruaru has been a great host for the start of the competition. With its structure, hospitality and institutional support, the city has established itself as a hub for culture, tourism and major sporting events. The mood among the participants is one of expectation and celebration: it's the kick-off for more than a thousand kilometers of trails crossing Pernambuco, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte.
RN 1500 in numbers
The 2025 edition will be attended by more than 130 competitors, divided into three segments: motorcycles, UTVs and cars. In all, there are 69 pairs registered in the UTV category, as well as 12 riders on motorcycles and 4 pairs in cars. The categories include divisions such as Rally Moto 1, Moto Brasil, Moto Over 45, Rally UTV 1, Ultimate, Over 50, Over 55, Over Pro, as well as the Stock and Ultimate car classes.
The participants come from various Brazilian cities, including hubs such as Barueri (SP), São Paulo (SP), Fortaleza (CE), Natal (RN), Recife (PE), Currais Novos (RN), Luís Eduardo Magalhães (BA), Arapiraca (AL), Brusque (SC), Maceió (AL) and even international destinations such as Portugal, France and the United States, reinforcing the international dimension of the event, which this year officially joins the Latin American Rally Raid Cup in the motorcycle category.
From tomorrow (08), the engines really roar. The first stage of the RN 1500 Rally leaves Caruaru, passes through Santa Cecília and reaches Cabaceiras (PB), with the right to a prologue and technical sections in the middle of the Sertão do Cariri. Until then, it's time for final adjustments, strategy and total focus.
