Father and Sons Celebrate 10 Years of Team in 2025

2025 promises to be a special year for Reinaldo, Rodrigo, Bruno and Gabriel Varela, who will celebrate a decade of the Varela Can-AM Monster Energy team throughout the season. The Dust Family kicks off the celebrations in style by participating in the traditional RN1500 Rally, a stage of the Brazilian Rally Raid Championship, which will be held between April 8 and 11 in the Brazilian Northeast.

Bruno Varela, current South American champion, takes the wheel of the #103 in the UTV 1 Ultimate alongside experienced navigator Ari Fiuza. In the same category, Rodrigo Varela forms a duo with Matheus Mazzei. Gabriel Varela competes in the UTV 1 driving the #153 with Michael Mason as navigator. Three-time world champion and family patriarch Reinaldo Varela shows off all his skills in the UTV Over Pro at the helm of the #123, with Fabio Machado as navigator.

"The cars have gone through all the necessary preparations and tests, and we are ready to accelerate and start this season that is so special for us," says Bruno Varela, who won the South American title in Argentina in 2024. "Competing as a family is always rewarding and we want to make 2025 an even more victorious year for our team," adds the driver.

Adventure in the Backlands—In its 27th edition, the RN1500 will have the prologue to define the starting positions of each competitor this Tuesday, in Caruaru (PE). On the same day, the first special will start, which will be 231 km timed, leaving Caruaru to Cabaceiras, in Paraíba, going down the mountains.

The following day, the hostile terrain of Cariri will demand a lot from the cars, while the third stage will feature the rocks of Seridó. The race ends with a diverse circuit that mixes stretches of backlands, boulders and the famous dunes of the Rio Grande do Norte coast. In total, including the journeys, there will be around 1,000 km covered to São Miguel do Gostoso (RN).
