Gabriel Soares was fastest in Moto1 and Ricardo “Bob” Martins maintains his unbeaten record in Moto Over

On Thursday (10/4), the third stage of the 27th RN 1500 Rally took place, with competitors facing 260.92 kilometers of course, including 178.74 timed special stages. Starting and finishing in the city of Currais Novos, in Rio Grande do Norte, the route was marked by tough and winding terrain, providing another day of challenges for the riders.

Yamaha secured significant results in this Stage, starting with the Moto1 category. Gabriel “Tomate” Soares, a newcomer to the Yamaha IMS Rally Team, was the fastest of the day and celebrated his first victory for the team, riding his WR450F. However, the stage brought difficulties for the reigning Brazilian champion, Adrien Metge, who had been leading the race up to this point. The Frenchman ran into problems and was unable to finish the day. Adrien will be back this Friday (11), seeking recovery and good results for the team.

In the Moto 2 category, Gabriel Bruning ran into problems along the way and finished in second place in the Stage, the same position he occupies in the standings after three days of racing. The man from Santa Catarina enters the final stage determined to win another stage of the Brazilian Championship - each day of the RN 1500 adds points to the championship.

Ricardo “Bob” Martins, meanwhile, remains undefeated in the Moto Over category. With another victory in this third round, the rider and his Yamaha Ténéré 700 are showing consistency, consolidating their lead in the competition. With the race drawing to a close, Martins can now plan to manage his lead in the final stage, with an eye on the top step of the podium.

The final day of the 27th RN 1500 Rally promises strong emotions, with a challenging route. The drivers will set off from Currais Novos, in Rio Grande do Norte, and face mountains, hinterland, valleys, dunes and lots of sand until they reach the finish line in São Miguel do Gostoso/RN. The final stage will have the longest Special Timed Stage of this edition, with 235 kilometers, totaling 314.51 kilometers over the course of the day. The race organizers have scheduled a party for competitors and team members at 5pm, with the Awards Ceremony scheduled for 7pm.

The Yamaha IMS Rally Team is sponsored by IMS Racewear, DID, Yamalube, Ram, Wurth, Polisport, Borilli, Power MX, Higor Tanques, Negretti Preparações, Tendas El Shaddai, Wamc Log, Durag, LogiTime and Slin Graphics.
