RN 1500 Rally 2025 arrives in Rio Grande do Norte and enters the heart of the Seridó
Currais Novos welcomes competitors for the third stage of the race, with a technical challenge in the middle of the caatinga and the stony soil of the hinterland
The RN 1500 Rally officially entered the state of Rio Grande do Norte on Wednesday (09). The city of Currais Novos, in the heart of the Seridó, is the stage for the third stage of the race, which also marks the halfway point of the 2025 edition.
Today's special, on the 10th - called “Seridó, the path of stones” - starts and finishes in Currais Novos, passing through the town of Acari. With predominantly dry, rocky terrain and typical caatinga vegetation, the section demands technique, endurance and extra attention from the competitors.
On Friday, April 11, the rally heads to the north coast of Rio Grande do Norte. The last stage departs from Currais Novos and passes through Bodó, Jandaíra and Galinhos, ending the route in São Miguel do Gostoso, where the champions will be officially known and celebrated during the traditional awards party.
So far, the RN 1500 2025 has shown balanced disputes and high-level performances. On the first day of the race, in the special “Descending the Sierras to Cariri”, the winners were Adrien Metge (Motorcycle - Yamaha IMS Rally Team), Bruno Varela & Ari Fiuza (UTV - Varela Can-Am Monster Energy) and Pedro Queirolo & Lauro Sobreira (Car - RMattheis). In the second special, “Entre Sertões - Do Cariri ao Seridó”, the top finishers were once again Adrien Metge on the bikes, Bruno Varela & Ari Fiuza on the UTVs, and Pedro Queirolo & Lauro Sobreira in the cars, consolidating their names among the favorites of the edition.
The expectation now is for the final kilometers of the competition, which promise more emotion, technique and unforgettable landscapes until the end on the shore of São Miguel do Gostoso.
