RN 1500 Rally Consecrates Champions In Patos, Capital Of The Paraibano Sertão
From April 15 to 20, 2024, the RN 1500 Rally took adrenaline and emotion to more than 30 municipalities in the states of Rio Grande do Norte and Paraíba. With four days of special stages and a total route of more than 1,000 kilometers, the Rally challenged competitors with exciting routes and enchanted everyone with stunning landscapes.
The fourth stage ended in the picturesque village of Picotes, located in the city of São Mamede (PB), while the awards ceremony took place at Patos Shopping, in the city of the same name. The RN 1500 Rally is the first stage of the Brazilian Rally Raid Championship (cross country), part of a series of five rounds that challenge drivers and their teams throughout the year.
In the motorcycle category, the competition was fierce, but Frenchman Adrien Metge, a Yamaha IMS Rally Team rider, won the championship for the fourth time in a row, completing the course in 11 hours, 49 minutes and 36 seconds. In second place was American Mason Klein, from Honda Racing, with 11 hours, 53 minutes and 22 seconds, followed by Argentinian Martin Duplessis, also from Honda Racing, with 11 hours, 56 minutes and 48 seconds.
In the UTVs, the duo Denisio do Nascimento and Gunnar Dums, from Bompack Racing, won by completing the four stages in 12 hours, 23 minutes and 59 seconds. While in the cars, the X Rally team, represented by Rodrigo Ache and Luis Felipe Eckel, dominated the podium by recording a total time of 12 hours, 21 minutes and 14 seconds.
In the quad bike segment, Giovanni de Castro, representing Ceará, was champion with a total time of 14 hours, 33 minutes and 39 seconds.
