Sertões 2024: Adrien Metge wins Stage 6 of Sertões 2024 with Yamaha WR450F
- Adrien Metge was the fastest in Stage 6 and maintains his lead in the Rally
- Gabriel Bruning finishes 4th and Ricardo Martins in 5th position
The 6th Stage of this 32nd edition of the Sertões was held on Thursday (29/8), with a long route and long journeys for the riders, who had to leave the rally camp in Luiz Eduardo Magalhães/BA at dawn. In total, there were 634 kilometers to Formosa/GO, 218 of which were Special Timed. Once again, Adrien Metge was the fastest and maintained his lead in the overall standings and in the Moto1 category.
Adrien Metge decided to attack from the start and was already leading the Special in the first part. He kept up the pace throughout and won another Stage, consolidating his position as leader of the competition on his Yamaha WR450F, with just two days to go until the end of this edition.
Recovering from a penalty in Stage 4, Ricardo Martins also managed to set a strong pace to finish the day in the Top 5 in the General classification and in 3rd position in the Moto1 Category.
Gabriel Bruning also performed well on his WR450F and ended the day in 4th place overall and 2nd in the Moto2 category. Recovered from the flu, the Yamaha IMS Rally Team rider is preparing for the final two stages of this edition.
On Friday (30), the riders face a very long Special Timed Stage, covering 349 kilometers. The total distance of the day will be 497 km, with a start of 85 km and a finish of 63 km. The stage will be in a loop format, with the start and finish in Formosa/GO.
In total, the drivers will cover 3,704 km, of which 2,386 km will be timed special stages. The route of this 32nd edition of the Sertões started in the Federal District, passed through Goiás, Minas Gerais and Bahia and will end next Saturday (31), also in Brasília/DF.
