Marechal Deodoro (AL) – Honda, the most successful motorcycle brand in Sertões Rally history, secured its 11th overall crown this Sunday (Aug 3) at Praia do Francês, Marechal Deodoro, AL. Spanish ace Tosha Schareina, riding for Monster Energy Honda HRC, took home his first Sertões trophy on the Honda CRF 450 Rally—finishing over 48 minutes ahead of the runner-up and dominating the Moto 1 class with the fastest overall time. Honda Racing Brasil added to the Japanese brand’s trophy case with two more wins: Tiago Wernersbach clinched his first Moto 3 title aboard the CRF 450RX, and Alexandre Valadares “Brankim” extended the CRF 250F’s reign in the Brasil class for domestically produced bikes.

The 2025 Sertões Rally route spanned eight days and nearly 3,000 kilometers, with about 2,000 kilometers of timed special stages. The adventure began in Goiânia (GO) and was cut short in Marechal Deodoro due to heavy rains, which forced the cancellation of the final two stages for safety reasons. Even with only six stages counted, Schareina was unstoppable—winning five and sealing the title in dominant style. Now a Sertões champion, the Spaniard is also the current Dakar runner-up and third overall in the World Rally-Raid Championship.

Capixaba rider Wernersbach delivered a career-best fourth overall finish and, with his Moto 3 victory, now has four Brasil category titles to his name. Making his Sertões debut, Minas Gerais native Brankim powered to victory in the Brasil class and finished ninth overall—an impressive Top 10 among a field packed with international machinery. Honda Racing’s lineup also included Argentine Martin Duplessis, Frenchman Romain Dumontier, and Brazil’s own Bruno Crivilin—all riding the CRF 450RX.

Honda Racing is proudly sponsored by Pro Honda, Honda Seguros, Axalta, DID, NGK, Ogio, and ASW.
