An important announcement for Sertões Petrobras 2026. The 34th edition of the largest rally in the Americas, scheduled for 22 to 30 August, will mark the debut of a new category: Production.
This new category will bring together cars from the Ultimate SP, Ultimate Pro, Stock and Classic classes (for models launched up to 2005), meeting a long-standing request from competitors in these divisions, which are aimed at vehicles much closer to those found in car dealerships.
Sertões Petrobras Technical Director Edgar Fabre explains the characteristics of the new category:
“Production competitors will race stages of around 200 kilometres per day. This helps to avoid excessive mechanical wear and eliminates a problem they have faced in recent years: arriving at the Vila Sertões after sunset. In short, Sertões will now feature four categories – Motorcycles, UTVs, Cars and Production.”
Entries
Until the 31st, at the turn of the year, it is still possible to register for Sertões Petrobras 2026 at first-batch prices. It is worth noting that entries are already sold out in the motorcycle category, but places are still available in UTVs, Cars and Production.
