2020 FIA World Cup for Cross Country Bajas Calendar

UPDATE - 10/10/2020

Following the cancellation of the 2020 Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, scheduled to run from November 20-26, this year’s FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallies has now been cancelled. Considering only one event has run this season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this is insufficient for the awarding of the title.

The FIA World Cups for Cross Country cover some of the most diverse and challenging terrain the world has to offer. In a move to improve the structure of the discipline and encourage competitors to participate in more events, the World Cup has been divided into two categories from this season, better reflecting the specific nature of the individual events. The longer FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallies now form a separate series to the FIA World Cup for Cross Country Bajas, which take in shorter, but no less arduous two-day events.

The 2020 calendar takes in eight events across Europe and the Middle East, kicking off with the world’s only snow and ice Baja in Russia in February before concluding in Portugal in October. Events must run over one or two days, three if a super special stage is organised, and cover 400-600 competitive kilometres.
