After a couple of days with testing, working on the car and the scrutineering, Erik Van Loon and Sébastien Delaunay are ready for the start. The first stage of Dakar 2020 will be driven on Sunday. Van Loon cannot wait for the rally in Saudi Arabia to begin.

“The test was fine, we have a lot of knowledge within the team. They drove a lot here with Al Rajhi last year, so they have a solid base for the car. That feels good, so we will experiment with it in the first days. We will start carefully, but we have to catch the speed to keep it up,” says Van Loon.

The first stage will go from Jeddah towards Al Wajh and is 319 kilometers long. The first car will start around 9:20 (7:20 CET).
