Africa Race 2020:Fernando Barreiros heading to Dakar at the Africa Eco Race

The eighth stage of the Africa Eco Race 2020 was a 450.83 km journey held between Aidzidine and Tidjikja in Mauritania and Fernando Barreiros surpassed it despite the difficult day due to the complexity of navigation. The Portuguese remains focused on finishing this great adventure that is the Africa Eco Race 2020.

The recent winner of the T2 Class off-road Iberian Trophy is getting closer and closer to fulfilling the dream of arriving to Lac Rose in Dakar, Senegal. With one more day finished the team started the countdown to celebrate on the 19th January the end of this competition. Note that this was the debut year for Fernando Barreiros in a long off-road marathon.

The ninth stage of the Africa Eco Race 2020 will be the only loop in this 12th edition of the rally. The journey will be completed around Tidjikja and will feature 469.11 km and 415.07 timed. The route will alternate between dunes and sand tracks so the crossings will not be easy, especially at the end of the route which will feature a long sandy climb between large narrow rocks.
