Kalahary Rally 2019: Dakar official travel to South Africa as an observer

KALAHARI RALLY ORGANIZATION was privileged to meet with ASO World Representative Charles Cuypers earlier this year, when KR Orga Team presented KR19 to Charles, and South African-ASO Dakar Representative Darryl Curtis. Darryl (a long time friend, very experienced Dakar Rider and Ex Factory KTM Rider), through his recommendations to ASO, and belief in KR, has lead to ASO sending Darryl to attend KR19 as an observer, to evaluate the KALAHARI RALLY as a potential Dakar Qualifier.
It was a fruitful meeting with Charles Kuypers-ASO, and as KR Orga we are very thankful, to see Charles' willingness and excitement to help grow Rally Raid Auto & Moto competitors in South Africa, to ultimately see them live the dream of Dakar!
KALAHARI RALLY ORGA TEAM, and personally as Rally Director, cannot thank Darryl Curtis enough for what he has done for Rally Raid in South Africa, to help so may get to race the Dakar Rally! Hoping and Trusting that Darryl's visit to KR19 will show what SA can really offer on every level, in respect of world rally raid!!!
