With this victory, the driver from Madrid widens his margin to conquer what would be his sixth title in the series category of the Spanish Off-Road Rally Championship.

At the controls of a Toyota Land Cruiser, the Kobe Motor driver remains unbeaten this season after achieving his third consecutive victory.

"We are very happy with this result. It was a spectacular race, very competitive and very hard because of the tremendous heat, which inside the car resulted in temperatures of more than 50ºC", says Dorsch.

Alberto Dorsch remains unbeatable on the road to his sixth title in the T2 Cup of the Spanish Off-Road Rally Championship (CERTT) by winning, along with his co-driver Marcos Martínez, in the category reserved for series vehicles in the Baja Aragón. After two intense days, the Kobe Motor duo achieved this past Sunday in Teruel their third consecutive victory of the season, a result that keeps them undefeated in the competition and highlights them even more at the top of the standings.

The classic rally-raid in our country, scoring for the FIA World Cup and the CERTT, was presented as the most complicated event of the season due to the high temperatures, with maximum temperatures above 35ºC. Dorsch and Martínez knew that endurance, both physical and mechanical, would be one of the keys. Therefore, they were aware of the difficulties they would encounter, especially in the first stage of the race, held on Saturday with two stages and a total of 402 kilometers timed.
The drivers from Madrid started very strong, with a good pace in the opening 180-kilometer special stage. Their first partial times appeared in green on the timing screen, but in the final part, the dust of the cars that preceded them played a dirty trick on them and they ended up losing 3:05 minutes to Lluís Josep Rodríguez / Fernando Giménez.

Far from resigning themselves, the Kobe Motor team was determined to attack on Saturday afternoon's 222 km stage in the middle of the heat, in order to close the gap with the T2 leaders and have a chance of winning the last day of the rally. "We knew we had to go for it. It cost us a lot, but around kilometer 180 we managed to pass them. The last kilometers took forever because of the heat, but it worked out well," said a satisfied Alberto Dorsch. In fact, thanks to the drive they showed in this second special stage, they won the stage victory with a lead of 4 minutes and 20 seconds, which put them in first place in the provisional standings with a margin of 1'14".

With everything still to be decided, the Aragonese rally reached its second and last day with a single 159-kilometer stage to be contested. Dorsch and Martinez, who started in front of their rivals, were forced to drive hard to protect themselves, since if they were caught it would be practically impossible to win. The stress for them appeared when, at kilometer 2, they had a small lapse that put them in check. "We thought we had not validated a waypoint and we turned around so that it would be marked. That's when we lost about twenty seconds, but luckily it was at the beginning of the day and we had a margin to recover. From then on, we raced a lot and in the end we won the special stage by very little", he admits. The Toyota Land Cruiser series crossed the finish line just six seconds ahead of Rodriguez / Gimenez, enough to secure the final victory with 1 minute and 20 seconds ahead of them, and 15'47" ahead of Monica Plaza and David Nadal, third.

In the Spanish Off-Road Rally Championship T2 Cup standings, Dorsch provisionally totals 151.5 points and widens the gap with Plaza to 40.46 points with four rounds remaining in the season.

"We are very happy for this three out of three. It was a spectacular race, very competitive and very hard because of the tremendous heat, which inside the car resulted in temperatures of more than 50ºC because we go without air conditioning. Now we must not fail in the next races. It is clear that we have done our homework well. I am also very pleased to continue with the streak of more than four years without dropping out of a race. That speaks of the great reliability of the Toyota Land Cruiser and the good teamwork we do with Miracar and ARC, with the support of Bridgestone, Tunap and the rest of the sponsors, whom I want to thank for their confidence", he concludes.

The next event will be at the end of the summer, the weekend of September 17, in Zuera (Zaragoza), followed by the rallies of Guadalajara (October 1), Cuenca (October 15) and Seville (November 5).
