24 Horas TT 2021: BP Ultimate 24 Hours Off-Road Fronteira return in 2021

ACP - Automobile Club of Portugal announced today that the classic off-road endurance race 24 Hours Off-Road Fronteira will return in 2021 and it already has its dates chose.  Between 25 and 28 of October, the small and otherwise calm Fronteira Town in the Alto Alentejo Region, east of Lisbon and closer to the border with Spain will once again become alive with the sound of dozens of teams and hundreds of drivers ranging from the very experienced to the ones that only enter in this race.   

During its evolution, the 24 Hours Off-Road Fronteira turned into one of the largest events in Portugal, joining drivers, mechanics, sponsors, friends, and the public in a very singular competition that is more like a party than instead like a race.  The race is so special, that you can find the Mini All4 Racing from X-Raid sharing the track with many other more common vehicles like Nissan Navara or Mitsubishi Pajero, but also with some "more stranger creatures" like the many exclusive French Protos, the Portuguese build UMM,  the Renault 4L or a very particular and legendary Peugeot 504 that had become the icon of the race. 

If the local teams are still the most numerous, this race also attracts many foreign teams, mostly French teams that year after year comes to the Portuguese race, most of the specialists in this endurance variant of the sport, and many fighting for the victory.

Alongside the main 24 Hours event,  there is a shorter race, lasting only 4 hours, this one dedicated exclusively to Side-by-Side vehicles.  The SSV race takes place on Saturday morning, before the start of the main race that usually starts around 1 or 2 pm and finishes sunday after 24 hours of lots of fun and racing, but also punishment for some.
