24 Hours Off-Road Fronteira 2020: Organizers decide to postpone the race to 2021

The year 2020 brought us a set of difficult and unexpected challenges. The pandemic evolution of the transmission of the SARS - CoV 2 virus and the responses found to combat it, caused a cloud of discouragement and uncertainty to fall on all human activity, forcing it to adapt to guarantee its continuity.

The 24 Hours of TT - Vila de Fronteira and the 4 Hours SSV - Vila de Fronteira are the big festival of the All Terrain in Portugal and an event with an international dimension that provides participants and the public with a weekend of conviviality around the modality they love so much.

Strict compliance with the set of rules and guidelines in force, issued by the General Health Directorate, to prevent the transmission of the SARS-CoV 2 virus, would globally distort this event that brings together thousands of people. In turn, the absence of such strict compliance would jeopardize public health, as well as the effort and sacrifice that we have all been making over the past few months.

Thus, the 23rd Edition of the 24 Hours TT - Vila de Fronteira and the 9th Edition of the 4 Hours SSV - Vila de Fronteira are postponed to the year 2021.

The 24 Hours TT - Vila de Fronteira is, as has been said, the great festival of the Cross-Country Rally in Portugal. It will be in a festive and convivial atmosphere that we will return, on the 25th to 28th of November 2021, to share the Fronteira race track to carry out large and renewed editions of the 24 Hours TT - Vila de Fronteira and the 4 Hours SSV - Vila de Fronteira.
