The Republic of San Marino will host on  25 and 26 June the fourth round of the Italian Cross-country Rallies Championship and also the fifth round of the  Side-by-Side Championship at the 7th edition of the race organized by the San Marino Auto Motor Federation.

The 7th San Marino Cross Country Rally on 25 and 26 June will be the fourth round of the Italian Cross Country Rally Championship and the fifth round of the Tricolour Side by Side. The dirt roads of the Republic of Titano and the adjacent ones will be the theater of the challenges for the important points of a Championship which is more and more fascinating and gripping.

The race organized by the San Marino Auto Motoristic Federation will have its headquarters and service center at the Multi Eventi of San Marino. The program will enter its climax on Friday 25 June with the preliminary operations, between the Multi Eventi and the "Globo" Service Park from 12.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. On the same day, authorized reconnaissance of the route is allowed. The crews who wish to do so can carry out the shakedown, testing the cars in race trim, from 13.45 to 14.45 in Piandavello di San Marino. All in one day the competition will be articulated on 8 selective sectors, programmed following the Italian Championship Rally. "Terra di San Marino" (4.75 km), "Macerata Feltria" (7.47 km), "Sestino" (14.88 km), the first sector to be run twice and the other two, three times, for a total of 76.55 km out of the 369.87 km of the entire route, which starts and finishes in San Marino.

There are all the big names of the Italian Championship, starting with Sergio Galletti, the R-Team standard-bearer from Emilia Romagna, who, with Giulia Maroni after the excellent race in Greece and the convincing performance at the Italian Baja, has taken the lead in the Championship standings on the Toyota Hilux OverDrive. Suzuki starts with the aim of defending the manufacturers' leadership. The official Suzuki driver Lorenzo Codecà is back in the game with firm intentions of recovery from the current 3rd place. The Milanese driver, forcibly absent in Greece, will be back on the Gran Vitara in T1 version to attack the San Marino land, always navigated by Mauro Toffoli. Another Gran Vitara officially followed by the Italian branch of the Japanese brand for Manuele Mengozzi navigated by Fabio Graffieti. Always for the group of "prepared" cars, Andrea Schiumarini on the Mitsubishi Pajero WRC+, after the good race in Greece, will now be navigated by Cesare Rickler. Again in the race the Fiat Panda 4x4 in Dakar preparation of Gabriele Seno, together with Francesca Ferretti for the colors of Milano Autostoriche, while on Nissan Navara Andrea Castagnera and Denis Dorigo are back in the game, change of car also for the Bolognese of Jazz Tech Team Alessandro Bertuzzi, who finds the Mitsubishi Pajero WRC together with Angelo Mirolo. Riccardo Colombo on his Mitsubishi L200, which he shares with Massimiliano Catarsi, will be hunting for the first useful points.

The protagonists of the Suzuki Challenge on the New Gran Vitara, are also the first actors of the T2 group, the production cars. Alfio Bordonaro, from Catania, will be in the lead, navigated by Roberto Briani, the Sicilian driver, after a difficult start, has taken not only the lead in the Japanese brand, but also in T2 and in 4th place in the overall championship standings, after a successful Greek race. Fifth place in the Italian championship and 4th in T2 for another Sicilian, Chinti Marino Gambazza from Messina, excellent in Greece and who, on the New Gran Vitara, will be flanked by Santo Triolo, followed by the Tuscan of Tempo Srl Andrea Lucchini with Piero Bosco, winners at the Italian Baja, then Mauro Cantarello and Francesco Facile, always at the top after the excellent performance at the Baja del Vermentino, but also in Friuli and in Greece.

Elvis Borsoi from Treviso with Stefano Pelloni on the Can-Am Maverick, cars equipped with variator, must defend the top of the TM1 classification, where the protagonists are the Side by Side, where to challenge the top of TM1 there are the Emilian brothers Alessandro and Emiliano Tinaburri on YamahaYXZ 1000R, on the same car there will also be the Sardinian Davide Catania flanked by Fabio Salis. For the TM2 the leader Valentino Rocco with Alessandra Mangoni on Yamaha XZ1, are in the lead but the return of the Piedmontese Amerigo Ventura with the Friulian Mirko Brun, also on Yamaha is a trap for everyone. Attention also to Sebastian Gjezi, the pilot from Bergamo of Albanian origin, already on the podium at the Adriatic, navigated by Roberto Marzocco on Yamaha, a car with manual transmission.

Among the TH group cars, with the most years of career to their credit, certainly, stand out the Suzuki Vitara of Samuele Lelli with Gilberto Minetti and Giovanni and Francesco Farina.
