"After all, the team has become champions!" says Erik. "I am happy that we were able to help the Toyota team in the championship and gain the necessary points. It's also extra nice that teammate Nasser Al-Attiyah became world champion, so we'll probably have a little celebration later on."

"Today's test was not made for our car, but we still managed to overtake quite a few other cars. The last 15 kilometers we were still driving with a flat tire and then the fifth time is the maximum possible. We showed this week that the speed is definitely there and we were in the top five throughout the rally. So we'll take that to the next race. Sébastien did well, despite very difficult navigation. The Toyota was also just top, except for one day, but that's part of the sport. And Anja drove a very good rally, so I'm actually quite satisfied."

Anja wanted to drive closer to the top ten. "That actually worked out pretty well. We are now in thirteenth place in the T3 standings, if you look at where we came from at the beginning of the season I have learned a lot. I'm getting more and more confidence and feeling in the Can-Am. We are still going to Dubai and hopefully we can take another step forward then."

The next rally for Erik and Anja van Loon is the Dubai Baja from December 1-3.
