Baja Aragon 2021: Fernando Barreiros disputes Baja Aragón

Pilot focused on Spanish T2 Championship

After an excellent performance in Baja Extremadura, Fernando Barreiros, ,is back to the competitions of the Spanish Cross-Country Rally Championship, this time to dispute  next weekend the famous Baja Espanha Aragón and starting the race with the clear objective of fighting for the T2 category victory.

At the wheel of the very competitive Isuzu D-Max T2 the Portuguese driver, who this year is betting on winning the title in the Spanish Championship, finished second in the race held in Baja TT Dehesa de Extremadura. Racing hiss excellent machine and navigated by the experienced Carlos Silva, Fernando Barreiros is optimistic about Baja Aragon:

"We are a few days away from Baja Aragón and we are satisfied with the work developed. I was a little worried about my physical recovery, but fortunately, I already feel very well. It's a race that I like a lot and where I'll be navigated by Carlos Silva. I think it's going to be an excellent race for both of us and I think we're going to get a good result because we both have an adventurous and competitive spirit and I'm confident in what's going to happen", explained the Portuguese driver.

The 37th Baja Spain Aragón will take place from July 22nd to 24th, and for the eighth time in a row, the city of Teruel will be the headquarters. The Spanish race will comprise a total of 764 kilometers, 540 of which will be timed. On Friday the first stage of this competition will be held, with 177 km, while on Saturday the drivers will encounter two sections with 151 km of chronometers.
