Baja Aragon 2021: Portuguese Team Consilcar confirms its presence at the 2021 Baja Aragon

The team presents Ford Ranger with evolutions

Team Consilcar is back to the big stages next weekend, from July 22nd to 24th, with the presence in Baja España Aragón, one of the most important international races of the specialty and fifth round of the FIA Cross-Country Bajas World Cup calendar.
A participation that is part of the international project designed by the team for this season. "Being in Aragón is always a reason for satisfaction. It is one of the historic Bajas of the sport and this edition, in particular, will be one of the most demanding and competitive in recent years, with the presence of the main brands and drivers. But for us this is an extra motivation factor because it's the great challenges that make us evolve", Edgar Condenso started by underlining.

This is the fourth round of the season for the team, the second consecutive in Spanish lands, after Baja TT Dehesa Extremadura, which integrates the Iberian Cup of TT, disputed last month.

"We're expecting a race with a fast track, although with some more technical areas, and quite demanding from the physical point of view, not only because of the driving but also because of the very hot weather that is felt at this time of the year", said the pilot, who adds: "It's a very concentrated Baja, with 540 kilometers on the clock in just two days, 363 on Saturday alone. It will undoubtedly be a tough race that, due to its length, will require extra care in material management, a factor that can make the difference in the final result."

An event where the team presents an evolved Ford Ranger, with changes in suspension tuning and improvements in the turbo:

"We did a test where we made some adjustments. The car is now more stable at the rear and therefore more rollable and, at the same time, with greater availability in terms of torque, which allows us to have higher performance, especially in slower areas", said Edgar Condenso, who will have António Serrão by his side again: "It will be his debut in FIA TT World Cup events and, from that point of view, it will also be challenging, but the confidence is total", reinforced the pilot.

Accompanying the team from the outside, Nuno Silva highlights:

"This is the Queen of Bajas in the Spanish territory and it was an excellent showcase for all the teams. It is, therefore, a source of pride for all of us at Team Consilcar to be able to be at the start of a race of this dimension and to boost the image of all our partners, whom we are very grateful for their support and trust, in a thank you that extends to our team, family, friends, and fans."

The 2021 Baja España Aragón is made up of four Selective Sectors (SS), the first of which, of 177 kilometers, will be held on Friday, with the last three sectors reserved for Saturday, with 50, 101, and 212 kilometers of chronometers, respectively.
