Baja Aragon 2021: PRK Sport Rally Team finishes Baja Aragon with "top ten" within targeting distance

The 2021 edition of the Baja España Aragon ended in Teruel, in the middle of the afternoon. The Baja España Aragon European Touring Car Championship had a strong and extensive Portuguese delegation, which included four formations registered by PRK Sport Rally Team.

It was in a party mood that the Nabantine team closed the participation in the Spanish race, highlighting, first of all, the fact that the four teams present managed to get to the end, despite the extreme hardness of the event.

Pedro Dias da Silva/José Sá Pires were once again the fastest among the PRK Sport cars, finishing this debut in Aragon with an excellent 11th place overall, fifth among the Portuguese, in a day marked by intense heat, but in which the driver from the city of Tomar kept a strong pace, even with the feeling that the "top ten" was perfectly within reach. 

At the end, the driver clarified that

"We are very happy with the result and the whole team must be congratulated for the magnificent work done, not only on the terrain, but also for the careful way the race was prepared. It was a good overall result that leaves us very motivated for future incursions outside Portugal." 

Regarding the remaining formations enrolled by PRK Sport Rally Team, it is worth highlighting the recovery of Edgar Condenso/António Serrão who rose to the 21st final place, seventh among the Portuguese, this after a very complicated first day at various levels.

Despite some brake problems, which conditioned the final phase of the race, Mike Braun/Ivo Santos added another important result, finishing in 42nd place. Filipe Nascimento/Paulo Torres also had a complicated day, but not even a series of adversities prevented them from finishing this Baja España Aragon.

Now the PRK Sport Rally Team will return to Portugal to immediately start preparing another European event, the Hungarian Baja, which will take place between August 4th and 8th.
