The XXXVII edition of the Baja España Aragón Trofeo AVATEL has unveiled some of the main novelties that will take place from July 22nd to 24th. In its official presentation, which took place this morning in the Assembly Hall of the Government of Aragón in Teruel, participated Mr. Arturo Aliaga, Vice President of the Government of Aragón and Minister of Industry, Competitiveness and Business Development of the Government of Aragón, who said:
"We cannot lose a World Championship event that has 37 editions in Aragón. That should not be lost because it is an asset that identifies us and I think it is very satisfying to see Doha, Chile, ten or twelve countries and see Teruel in that list of the World Championship", he said.
Also present were Alberto Izquierdo, vice-president of the Provincial Council of Teruel, Emma Buj, mayoress of Teruel, Manuel Aviñó, president of the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation, Xavier Bartrolí, president of Octagon Esedos, Javier Agullo, the provincial head of Traffic and Fernando Mencía, commissioner of the National Police of Teruel, among many other authorities.
The Baja España Aragón Trofeo AVATEL will run for the eighth consecutive year through the province of Teruel, discovering the roads of the Jiloca region and the Community of Teruel. With two stages and 580 timed kilometers, participants will encounter a route that will run through some of the following towns: Bañón, Alfambra, Camañas, Cuevas Labradas, Teruel, Monreal del Campo, Villafranca del Campo, Blancas, Alba and Santa Eulalia.
Scoring for the FIA Cross Country World Cup and the FIM Cross Country World Cup, the Baja España Aragón Trofeo AVATEL will once again be one of the reference events of the Spanish Off-Road Rally Championship.
"Teruel will become the epicenter of the motor world. For our competition, the Baja España is the best event of the Spanish Off-Road Rally Championship. It is the event par excellence that we are waiting for all year long"
, said Manuel Aviñó, president of the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation, who was also present at the event.
The organization of the Baja España Aragón will implement exhaustive control measures in terms of prevention against covid19. Participants will have to comply with the corresponding FIA and FIM regulations.
"We are going to have a requirement of protocols of the highest level and with only 15 days left to close registrations, we will have a record participation in cars, motorcycles, quads, and trucks",
explained Xavier Batrolí, president of Octagon Esedos.
At the same time, Xavier Bartrolí, president of Octagon Esedos has announced that
"we are working with the administrations a project to close an agreement that allows us to be the next three years, the Baja España, in Aragon and Teruel", he said.

AVATEL, NEW MAIN SPONSOR
One of the novelties in this edition of the Baja España Aragón is the incorporation of the communications operator AVATEL as the main sponsor of the race and also of the Spanish Off-Road Rally Championship. Within its link to this discipline, Avatel will also create a specific trophy in the Baja España Aragón.
In this 2021 edition and through the Avatel EcoPower, a 100% electric vehicle will be competing for the first time in the history of Baja España. Avatel's arrival in the world of off-road racing is also serving to make visible and promote female talent in motorsport, with the incorporation of several sportswomen within its structure. Currently, Christine Gianpaolli and Rosa Romero make up an all-female team, while Mónica Plaza leads another of the operator's vehicles as the driver, with David Nadal from Aragón as co-driver.
