Baja TT ACP 2020: Portuguese Champion Miguel Barbosa returns to cross-country rallies with Overdrive

BP Ultimate Vodafone Team driver wants to fight for victory

Returning to the Portuguese Cross-Country Rally Championship after four years dedicated to rallies, Miguel Barbosa makes his debut in the 2020 season racing in the new Baja TT ACP - Santiago do Cacém / Grândola organized by Automóvel Clube de Portugal, scheduled for the 6 to 8 March.

In this new and ambitious project developed in partnership with Sports & You, Miguel Barbosa, driver of the BP Ultimate Vodafone Team, will race in a Toyota Hilux from the Overdrive Racing team with Pedro Velosa as his co-driver.

“I am very happy to be back on the road with a very professional and very ambitious project that will surely allow me to fight for the victories in the races and naturally try to win another title. The car is fantastic and Overdrive worked very carefully in the preparation. The Championship is very competitive, which is very positive. The entry of new competitions also values ​​the Championship and this new Baja promises to be different from the others we already know. It has the ACP seal, which in itself is a guarantee of quality. I am extremely motivated and looking forward to the race starting ”, stresses Miguel Barbosa.

The Baja TT ACP Santiago do Cacém / Grândola starts on Friday, March 6 in the late afternoon with the departure ceremony. Sportily, the race starts on March 7 with the first stage, comprising the 4.40 km prologue, the first 60.12 km timed sector (which will be disputed in near Grândola) and the second section of 41 , 49 km (which will cover the Melides tracks). For Sunday the 8th, the last selective sector that will take the participants from Santiago do Cacém to Santo André over 136.11 km is reserved. The race will have a total of 242.12 km played against the clock.
