The BP Ultimate Baja TT ACP 2022 is returning to the Portuguese Cross-Country Championship, between March 18 and 20, in what will also be the second race of the 2022 season.
Held on the Alentejo coast, the event organized by ACP Motorsport, will once again gather the main protagonists of the CPTT family, concentrating numerous competitive challenges, which will write the history of this second edition of the race (the first was in 2020).
The fact that about 20% of the Selective Course will be run on sand is perhaps the most challenging factor for the teams, whose expertise on this type of floor will be put to the test, in a clear bet on the differentiation of the organization compared to other races on the calendar.
Helping to define the final ranking will also be, of course, the navigation factor, which assumes special relevance in the BP Ultimate Baja TT ACP 2022. In fact, the outlined route still requires a more correct and honest interpretation of the Road-Book, since, on the ground, the directional signs will be presented in smaller numbers.
Therefore, there will be no lack of challenges for the teams, which will cover a total of 380 km between the start and the finish in the city of Grândola, in a very heterogeneous two-day course, which, besides the sand tracks, includes roads drawn between valleys and mountains.
The emotions of the BP Ultimate Baja TT ACP 2022 start on March 18th (Friday), at 6pm, with the Official Start Ceremony, in Grândola.
On March 19 (Saturday), the first stage will take place, with the Prologue (7 km) in the area of Santiago do Cacém and the first Selective Sector (SS1 - Santiago/Sines/Grândola), over 90 km, while for Sunday is scheduled the last competitive stage, with the dispute of the second Selective Sector (SS2 - Grândola/Alcácer), over 170 km.
In the competitive chapter, there will certainly be no lack of ingredients to excite and make the race an "exercise" in competitiveness.
Besides the "Autos", the BP Ultimate Baja TT ACP will also count with the presence of teams in the categories "Motorcycles", "Quad" and "SSV", since the race is part of the National Rally Raid Championship calendar, promoted by the Portuguese Motorcycling Federation (FMP).
