Baja TT Capital dos Vinhos de Portugal 2021: Next round of Portuguese championships already has more than 150 participants and still counting

Less than a week away from the start of the Baja TT Capital dos Vinhos de Portugal it's time to reveal some news prepared for this 33rd edition of the competition that will be held from 1st to 3rd October in the tracks of Reguengos de Monsaraz, Redondo and Évora.

With registrations ending next Monday, September 27th, the Motor Section of Sociedade Artística Reguenguense already has a very interesting list of one hundred and fifty pilots registered for the FMP National Cross-Country Championship Road to Dakar 2021 and FPAK Portuguese Cross-Country Championship/AM 48.

While we wait for the names on this entry list to be announced, it will be possible to reveal the debut of a new car and a new machine and the presence of two Spanish pilots.

But the biggest news of this 33rd edition of Baja TT Capital dos Vinhos de Portugal will be the presentation of the T3EV, a totally electric prototype of the SSV T3 class, developed to compete in Offroad championships and to help promote more sustainable races.

The T3EV will make its first public demonstration in the prologue at the Baja TT Capital dos Vinhos de Portugal and some pilots will be allowed to test this prototype designed and developed by ADESS in Portugal, which opens doors to the world of the future of Offroad racing with electric cars.

This prototype is powered by two electric motors (one in each axle) that debit 2x 200kW (total 535 bhp), making it a powerful racing machine. Weighing 1,180 kg, the T3EV accelerates from 0-100 km/h in less than 4.5 seconds. With a 54kWh usable battery, the autonomy is about 70 km in race mode, thus allowing for short stage competition with intermediate charging stations.

Besides the FPAK and FMP Championships the Baja TT Capital dos Vinhos de Portugal will also score points for the Portuguese TT Cup, the Iberian TT Cup, the FIM Europe Championship and the Terras do Grande Lago Alqueva Trophy being also a candidate to the FIA Bajas European Cup.
