The team finished the event in 8th place in category T1
A race marked by hard sections and demanding navigation

Team Consilcar concluded this Sunday its participation in Baja TT Dehesa Extremadura, the second round of the Cross-Country Rallies Iberian Cup. A very demanding event in terms of hardness of layouts and navigation point of view, which marked the team's international debut this season. A presence that paid off with an 8th place finish in the T1 category.

"Today we kept the position we had from yesterday in the general classification. We did only one section of 107 kilometers, but we ran more than 70 kilometers in the dust and had to overtake several cars on the track, which ended up affecting all prospects of climbing the classification. Even so, we finished the stage in sixth position, which, in light of the context, was a very satisfactory result", Edgar Condenso started by commenting.

In a global view, the pilot, who was navigated by António Serrão, has no doubts: "It was a Baja that put us before a degree of challenge that we already expected. Besides the course, also because of the team present. High-quality cars and pilots. But, above all, it is an edition that we will remember forever because for the first time we won a Prologue in the general classification. A magnificent achievement and a fantastic reward for all those who make our project a reality."

An event where the set goals were surpassed: "We rode close to the top 5, which was what we wanted, but winning the Prologue and leading took us beyond what we had planned at the start, which is always very good. So far we've done three races, which we've fully accomplished, and that makes all the difference because I'm more and more in tune with the car, which is directly reflected in the pace I set behind the wheel of the Ford Ranger. It is precisely in this sense that we want to continue working."

Present, although with different functions than usual, Nuno Silva says: "It was a tough challenge for everyone, but successfully overcome. The team is on the right track and this is very gratifying for everyone. Thanks again to our partners for all the support and trust, but also to our team, family, friends, and fans. Thank you all."

Team Consilcar's next challenge is Baja España Arágon, July 23-25, a race that is part of the FIA Cross-Country Bajas World Cup calendar.
