Baja TT Montes Alentejanos 2021: Baja Montes Alentejanos opens the Portuguese season

Rally-Raid competitions are back and it's up to Baja TT Montes Alentejanos, a competition organized by CPKA, to receive the competitors for the season opener of the Portuguese Championship.

After a much-welcomed return of competitions to the tracks of Beja, in the Alentejo region back in 2020,  with an event much appreciated by the drivers and their teams, the responsibles of CPKA prepared for this year a race with several changes and improvements taking into account all the constraints arising from the fact that the race will not be held on the date initially planned and also due to the limitations imposed by the Covid 19 pandemic.

The adhesion has been remarkable with the number of participants approaching two hundred registered. The participation of the main pilots and teams that usually compete in the Cross-Country Portugal Championship, the Cross-Country Portugal Cup and the Cross-Country National Championship is confirmed with many new vehicles, most of them among the best and most recent racing actually all over the world. In the next few days, we will publish the names that will be protagonists of this 2021 edition of Baja TT Montes Alentejanos.

The competition will again be based in Beja city, in the magnificent Parque de Feiras e Exposições where, on Friday the 14th from 13:00 hours, the document and technical checks will start. At 20 hours will be held the parade of presentation of the participants.

On the following day, Saturday, the prologue will start at 7:30 am. Throughout the day, Motorcycles, Quads, SSVs, and Autos will face two more selective sectors - Mértola and Beja - the first with about 72 km and the second with 84 km, thus completing the 1st stage. The Refueling and Assistance Zone for the CNTT competitors as well as the neutralization and respective Closed Park for the CPTT and Portuguese Cup competitors will take place in Serpa at the Parque de Feiras e Exposições.

On Sunday the rally caravan returns to the road early in the morning to repeat the passage through the two selective sectors.
