Baja TT Oeste 2021: Nuno Matos at the start of the new Baja Oeste de Portugal

Nuno Matos is back to the chronometer driving a FIAT Fullback Proto next weekend, from October 15th to 17th, in the new Baja Oeste de Portugal, the fourth round of the Cross-Country Portugal Championship.
An event which is a novelty in the calendar and which the driver, who is accompanied by Joel Lutas, is keen to welcome:

"Congratulations to Escuderia Castelo Branco for once more innovating and taking the championship to new regions. It is a very important initiative for the sport, both in the sporting component, because it poses new challenges to all the competitors, which is always stimulating, but also for taking the sport to areas that open the door to new audiences."

The race has a total of 291.13 kilometers by the clock, disputed over two days, on a course that crosses the regions of Torres Vedras, Alenquer, Bombarral, Cadaval and Sobral de Monte Agraço.

"It's an unknown event for everyone, which makes any expectation of results unpredictable. We will do our best, wait for the problems registered in Reguengos to be solved and see how we naturally evolve over the kilometers in a new context for everyone," explained Nuno Matos, who adds: "It will be a baja where we want to set a consistent pace, but with natural caution, since 15 days later we will be starting the Baja Portalegre 500, a participation that we do not want to compromise in any way, in a race with a special meaning for us." 

The pilot, 2016 national champion, also leaves a word of thanks:
