Baja TT Vindimas do Alentejo marks the start of the season

The sporting season of Nuno Matos starts next weekend with Baja TT Vindimas do Alentejo, the first round of the Portugal Cross-Country Rallies Championship, a competition in which the pilot will again be behind the wheel of his FIAT Fullback Proto.

“We are going to start a season that is expected to be very competitive, in a sport that breathes health and is strengthened once more with the arrival of big names and fast cars. The squad is getting stronger with each passing year and that only makes the championship bigger. For this reason, being part of this competition again is a great source of pride ”, stressed the driver from Portalegre.

Alongside with the 2016 Portuguese champion will be Joel Lutas, reissuing a duo that debuted in the last edition of the Baja Portalegre 500. 

"Joel, whom I thank, accepted this challenge to be at my side this season. We are both in tune to give our best and enjoy every kilometer, and that is what we are going to do. ”

The challenge starts next Saturday, with the new Baja TT Vindimas do Alentejo:

“This is a new race that puts us all on an equal footing. On our part, as always, we will do everything to be among the fastest, being aware that the competition is quite strong and that we will fight against the clock with the most recent cars. But of course, if possible, I would like to start the season as in 2019 ”, joked the pilot, recalling his victory at Baja TT do Pinhal, proof that marked his return for a full racing program.

At a time when the season is about to start, the pilot does not forget the work and dedication of everyone involved:
