Portugal Cross-Country Rally: 2021 edition cancelled

Originally scheduled to take place in April 2021 and delayed for the first time for next September,  The Portugal Cross-Country Rally was once again postponed and is expected to take place in April of next year.   

The reasons behind this decision are, like in the first time, related to the Covid 19 pandemic, and the recent surge in cases both in Portugal and abroad caused by the new "Delta Variant".

"After evaluating the national and international pandemic situation, the ACP - Automóvel Club de Portugal, understands that the conditions are not met to take the event to the roads.
The safety of all participants is an unavoidable point for the ACP and for all the federations involved in the event - FIA, FIM, FPAK, and FMP - as well as for the 15 municipalities represented in its itinerary.
Everyone intends that the 1st edition of the BP Ultimate Portugal Cross Country Rally will take place in 2022.", said the organizers in their official statement
