Raid of Champions 2019: Champions to be announced in more categories in Nyirad again

After last year’s exciting moments, Chief- organizer of Raid of the Champions event, Zoltan Garamvolgyi has the intenion of organizing the feast of auto and motor sports with record number of Competitors in 2019.

Between 8 and 10 November in Nyirad Motorsport Arena a decisive fight is expected to take part again: Cross- country, quad and rallycross competitors are to rumble together in the red ring and stages in the surrounding at this race weekend. Among the entrants of Raid of the Champions, we can meet the best drivers, since like also in 2018, even this year, the CEZ and Hungarian Champion is to be announced in more categories here. What is more, in 2019, also the Polish Dacia Duster ELF Cup joins the competition and even for them the final battle has to be fought in Nyirad.

At the second weekend of November, between 8 and 10, in categories of the trucks, side by sides, bikes and quads, we are to celebrate the Champions of 2019, excluding the car category only, where Miroslav Zapletal has previously won the title in overall. Also, the newly-joined Polish Dacia Duster ELF Cup is to praise its winner in the red ring. And if it was not enough for the fans of this wonderful sport, beside the Hungarian fight, also the final event of the CEZ series is to take part here, so Visitors are not expected to go home without excitements for sure. And as a bonus, like during the two previous years, the amateur rallycross event of Racing Stars is welcomed this weekend, as well. Chief- organizer of the event, Zoltan Garamvolgyi is glad that the calendar of cross- country rally has kept this legendary scene.

"All championships are to be ended this weekend and in most of the categories the title has not been won yet, I mean the title of the final winners. We are doing our best to provide the highest level of organization in Nyirad Motorsport Arena and around at our event in November. During the past two years, Raid of the Champions became the favourite of many competitors and surrounding roads offer extraordinary selective stages. We are expecting a lot of foreign and Hungarian competitors and also I hope to reach a record number of participants this year."- said Zoltan Garamvolgyi, who added it is to be the fourth time this event is to be organized since in 2010 it started from the city of Gyor and finished at the area of HungExpo, while for the past two years Nyirad has been the center of Raid of the Champions.

On the other hand, the Polish Dacia Duster ELP Cup is a new category at the event, thanked to the promoter of the series, who has asked the organizer to accept their last event as part of Raid of the Champions. This category means about ten more competitors in Nyirad, and also it may lead to a longer co-operation.

"This common race is a really great opportunity for both the cross- country and rallycross branches since they can show their talent together to the fans of technical sports. I am sure this kind of races can be a solution to the problems, emerging in motorsports. I would like to draw the attention of the teams that entrants are accepted until Friday, 1 November. Also, I would like to express my gratitude to the host of event Attila Mozer for welcoming us again so can this legendary arena provide the center of the Raid of the Champions."- added Zoltan Garamvolgyi.
