Raide de Gois 2021: New postponement in the Portuguese calendar

While the participants in the Portuguese cross-country championship for motos, quads, and SSV were celebrating the so much desired return to the competitions that took place in the past 15th of May in Beja with Baja TT Montes Alentejanos,    Moto Clube de Gois, organizer of the third round of the season announced the postponement of its race for a new date to be announced.

Raide Paraiso TT Gois was scheduled for 12 and 13 of June, after an initial postponement due to the CoVid Pandemic, since the original date were 13 and 14 of February.   The reason for this second postponement is not yet clear, but can be related to the risk of wildfires in the region of the "Pinhal Interior" where the race will take place, since year after year the region is decimated by fire and since some years that the rules for using the rural and forest roads became much more strict.  The other reason could be the Pandemic, that despite appearing under control and the government had given permission for events like cross-country rallies are allowed under certain restrictions, the truth is that there are no "risk-free" events at this point.  

Raide Paraiso TT Gois is one of the two races in the Portuguese season that aren't valid for the car championship.  This race is open only to motos, quads, and SSV.  Keep in mind that in Portugal almost every SSV races under the motorbike federation rules, so they can't race against the cars.
