Rally Greece Offroad 2019: International field raced the 2019 Rally Greece Offroad

International Cross Country Rally event named “RALLY GREECE OFFROAD” was held for 7th consecutive year on 6-9 June 2019 in city of Kastoria, in the northwest part of Greece.

Organizers with the assistance of Kastoria Region and Kastoria Municipality offered to participants a high level of organization in respect with the reputation gained in all previous editions of the rally.

31 Competitors that participated in the event were arrived from Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Belgium, Bulgaria, Turkey and Israel. Among them some famous Teams and drivers that have participated in the legendary DAKAR race.

In 2019, 7th RALLY GREECE OFFROAD was the biggest and longest automobile race conducted in Greece compared to the days and distance that competitors had to accomplish.

In four days of the race almost 800 km from which 520 km are Special Stages were completed and nominated winners, final classifications in categories and classes. Spot of attraction for spectators and Media was the “Super Special Stage” that is prepared in the heart of Kastoria and ran on 7th, 8th and 9th of June.

The unexpected high temperatures, the absence of wind and the high percentage of humidity, challenged hard competitor’s efforts and for this reason they all deserve a warm applause.

Winners in Car category were Gal Shacham and Ofir Nimrod from Israel with a sophisticated Mitsubishi L200 of the well known RTeam Ralliart Italy. Second were Greeks Petros Sioutis and Kostas Makris with Mitsubishi Pajero who pushed for victory up to the last Special Stage. Third were Italians Riccardo Milazzo and Domenico Falsone with Great Wall Hover of Rteam Ralliart Italy.

In SSV(SXS) category, winners were Kafri Tzahi and Shai Regev from Israel with CanAm Maverick X3, followed by Italians, son and father, Pietranera Fabrizio and Edoardo also with CanAm Maverick X3. Third, were Israelis Sharon Ben Ami and Jonathan Ben Ami, also with CanAm Maverick X3.
