Rally Greece Offroad 2019: Kastoria will host next year's edition of Rally Greece Offroad

International Cross Country Rally named “RALLY GREECE OFFROAD” will be held for 8th consecutive year on 28-31 May 2020. Once again, city of Kastoria, in the northwest part of Greece, will be the city center of the event.
Organizers, under Aegis of Kastoria Region and Kastoria Municipality, have the ambition to offer to all participants a high level of organization equivalent to the reputation acquired in all previous year.
Competitors from Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Belgium, Bulgaria, Turkey, Israel, Romania and other countries, are expected to register to this event. Among them some famous Teams and drivers that have participated in the legendary DAKAR race.
In the event are accepted vehicles of FIA T1, T2, T3 as also national categories TH and SSV (side by side).
In 2020, 8th RALLY GREECE OFFROAD is the biggest and longest automobile race conducted in Greece compared to the days and distance that competitors will have to accomplish.
In four days of the race will be run more than 800km from which 540km are Special Stages that will nominate the winner and final classification. Spot of attraction for spectators and Media will be the “Super Special Stage” in Kastoria center as also the spectacular Start and Finish ceremonies.
For first time in Greece will be introduced and used by all competitors a “car-to-car” alarm system which allows overtakes to be conducted in a safe mode. This particular system is identical to the ones applied in FIA Cross Country Rally Championship. At the same time a GPS tracking system will be active in order to monitor all competitors.
Organizers respect environment and take all necessary precautions in order to protect mountains and wild life. At the same moment, in collaboration with Kastoria Region, Organizers improve mountain gravel roads in favor of professional woodcutters and forest protection.

For second year RALLY GREECE OFFROAD television snapshots and daily summaries will be broadcasted in 168 countries through a new established cooperation with a global media distribution agency. CNN, EuroNews, DW, ZDF, Eurovision, Reuters, SNTV, ABU are some of the well known TV stations that will receive “ready to play” summaries of RALLY GREECE OFFROAD
