The Rally TT Gualadajara, the fifth race of the 2019 Spanish Cross-Country Rallies Championship, comes to one end with the victories of Javier Pita / Ana Herrero in the car category and  César Arévalo / Juan José Martínez in SSV (buggies) in a race disputed under light rain.   Marc Durán / Pol Ros conquered the 2019 Spanish title in the Buggy (SSV) category after finishing this race in third place.

Luis Recuenco was the first leader of the race, winning the prologue with the Mini All4 Racing.  Behind Recuenco finished Santiago Navarro with the Can-AM Maverick X3 (T3 category).  Fernando Alvarez who started the race in the championship lead finished the prologue in third.    In the first long stage of the race, Alvarez assumed control of the events winning the stage and jumping to the race lead. On SS2 Luis Recuenco finished first, but that was not enough to recover the 1st place overall, that was now in possession of Javier Pita, second on the stage and was doing a very consistent race. As for Alvarez,  problems in the stage send him to the bottom of the classification and with no chances to return to the top.   On the third and final stage, Fernando Alvarez returned to his best winning the stage, but despite his good result, the damage made to his classification on the previous stage was so big that he only recovered from last to second from last.  As for the Mini All4 Racing from Luis Recuenco, mechanical problems during the final stage forced him out of the race.  Javier Pita was once again second on the stage, but his consistency paid off with an overall victory on the Rally TT Gualadajara.    Manolo Plaza (Nissan) finished the final stage in third place, enough to be second in the overall final result of the race.  Querol in Mitsubishi was the 4th on SS3, finishing the race in third overall.

As for the Buggies race (SSV non-T3), the championship leaders started the race with a show of force, winning the prologue with an advantage over a surprising Santiago Carnicer in second place. Gael Queralt finished third in the "introduction" to the roads of Gualadajara.   But once on the real stages, the course of events was a bit different, with César Arévalo/Juan José Martínez (Can-Am) going full throttle from the start of SS1 to finish of SS3, winning all stages along the way, and consequently winning the race. Federico Mogni/David Aguad (Polaris) finished the race in second, while the pairing Delgado/Pujol finished third.  Marc Duran finished fourth and conquered the 2019 category title.

The Spanish championship continues in just some days, from 4 to 5 of October with  Rally TT Zuera 2019.
