With the publication of the sports regulations, the new tricolor season formally begins.
The race for the two leading Italian titles and the two constructor titles is up for grabs, as well as the various ACI Sport Cups.
Five rounds: the opening in April at Terre di Gallura, the Italian Baja World event and the triptych San Marino, Liburna and Tuscan Races
The Italian Cross Country Baja Championship is preparing to experience a new season. It will be a 2020 year full of news for the national series organized by ACI Sport, on behalf of the Automobile Club of Italy (ACI) dedicated to off-road specialists. In fact, with the publication of the Sporting Regulations, several interesting details have been made official, in particular with regard to the Titles at stake and the assignment of the same in addition to the titled races.
The Italian Champions:
The Italian Cross Country Baja Championship will award four titles of "Italian Champion". A substantial change compared to the recent past, as two champions among the drivers and two champions among the manufacturers will emerge from this season, both defined on the basis of the division between T1-T2-T3 on the one hand and series vehicles (T2 and T2N) on the other. Furthermore, the Coppa Italia will be awarded to the individual winner for both the TH Group and the T4 Group. The ACI Sport Cups will also be awarded to the winners of the Scuderie, Under 25, Gentleman and Ladies categories.
The assignment of the valid results will be made on the basis of the sum of the scores of all the organized races except one. Drivers who have participated in at least three Championship races can compete for the title.
Valid Races:
The Italian calendar also changes. 5 seasonal appointments and 6 results available. In addition to the inevitable round in the Italian Baja, valid as an Italian race of the FIA Cross Country Bajas World Cup which will award two results for the local championship, the other four races will take place in conjunction with the Italian Rally Terra 2020 Championship. Each single race, including the double Italian Baja race, will assign a coefficient 1 score.
