Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge 2023: Red Bull Can-Am Factory team receives string of penalties

The Stewards have fined the Red Bull Can-Am Factory team for not paying the remaining balance of their registration for the 2023 FIA World Rally-Raid Championship for Austin Jones, Seth Quintero, Cristina Gutierrez and Rokas Baciuska.
The team failed to pay the fee despite reminders from the FIA and the Promoter. The Stewards determined that this was a breach of the 2023 FIA CCRSR V1 Art. 3.3.1, 2023 FIA ISC Art, 12,2.1,c, Art. 12.2.1.d, Art. 12.2.1.g, Art. 12.2.1.1 and fined the team for 1,000 euros for each crew.
The fine must be paid within 48 hours of notification, according to Article 12.8 FIA International Sporting Code. The team's failure to pay could result in suspension of the crews.
The Stewards noted that teams have the option to pay in installments, but such an option must be exercised in good faith. The Competitor had ignored all reminders and ignored conversations with representatives from the FIA Sporting Delegate. During the hearing, the Competitor's representative changed his position several times, and the Stewards questioned the sincerity of the representative. The Stewards concluded that the Competitor did not fulfill the obligations they had made, and that representing a large team did not give the right to disregard obligations or mislead the Stewards.
