Strict sanitary measures will be followed for the 2021 edition.
With the participation of more than a hundred pilots and an estimated economic revenue of 35 million pesos, the CANACO ADVENTURE Coahuila MIL Desert Rally 2021 will be held from July 14 to 18, 2021, through 10 municipalities in the state of Coahuila, under strict sanitary measures.
This was informed by Agustín Basurto, executive director of the event, which since 2015 has been attended by riders from all over the interior of the Republic, also from Puerto Rico and the United States, among other countries, and which distributes one million pesos in prizes.
"In the Rally Raid part of the competition we are expecting up to 130 riders and 150 in the Tourist tour category, both events go by different roads, so as not to have any mishaps with them. They leave from Saltillo, arrive and sleep in Parras and the next day they leave for Torreon, where we expect them for the closing of the event and on Sunday we do the awards ceremony", explained the organizer.
"We will have the same as last year the Covid-19 test. Those who do not present their vaccination stub will be tested at the event at no cost," said Basurto Arciniega.
He detailed that the actions will begin next July 14 in Saltillo, with the review of the participants' documents, delivery of kits and Covid-19 protocol, and one day later the pilots' meeting, dinner and the raffle of a Can-Am UTV.
"The Tourism route is the same as last year and the Rally route has changed 90 percent. There will be a raffle of different products from the sponsors in Saltillo, as well as a motorcycle in Torreon,"
explained the director of CANACO ADVENTURE COAHUILA MIL DESERT RALLY.
He emphasized that the Government of the State of Coahuila is the main promoter of the event, which has the objective of activating sports, eco-tourism and adventure tourism in the State. Likewise, Toyo Tires, Can-Am, Oxxo, Simsa, Altesia, CF Motos, Suero Up, KTM, Nuve, Quesipizza, Polaris, Adventure Laguna and Haz Turismo En Coahuila are important supporters of the 2021 event.
"We will have five helicopters for the attention of the pilots, both for security and air ambulances, also in the organization team we will bring the sweepers, we have the support of all the municipalities for the attention of those registered with public safety," established the organizer.
Finally, he detailed that the categories to participate are: UTV Pro Force Induction, Pro Morto, Sportman Moto, Rockie Moto, ATV Pro Quad, Class 1, Class 10, Class 12, Class 17, Class 9, Class 5 1/600, Free Class.
