San Felipe 250 2021: Following late-onsite registration—271 entries—26 States, 11 Countries

280.2-mile race starts Saturday in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico,
Season opener of the four-race 2021 SCORE World Desert Championship;

Following late on-site registration, 271 total vehicles have been officially processed as entries for Saturday’s start of the internationally televised BFGoodrich Tires 34th SCORE San Felipe 250, presented by Ford. The season-opener of the four-race 2021 SCORE World Desert Championship will be held over a rugged race course of 280.2 miles. The 271 total entries is the third-most in the 34-year history of this popular ‘Spring Break’ desert race.
The race is being held in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico, the picturesque fishing village on the Sea of Cortez, 125 miles south of the U.S. Border at Calexico, Calif.
With classes for Pro and Sportsman cars, trucks, UTVs, motorcycles and quads, racers from 27 U.S. States and 11 countries have officially entered. The elapsed-time race will start at 6 a.m. PT on Saturday for the motorcycle/quad classes followed by the start of the car/truck/UTV classes at 9 a.m. PT.  While the fastest finishers are expected to finish in just under five hours, all vehicles will have a 14-hour time limit to become an official finisher in the exciting event.
 The popular race will start and finish on the grounds of the luxurious El Dorado Ranch gated community along the Sea of Cortez in San Felipe. Adhering to the strict BioSecurity Health and Safety protocols, no spectators will be allowed at in the start/finish line area. Spectators will be allowed, following the health and safety protocols, to enjoy the race spread out around the race course.
The race will air as a one-hour special on the World of X Games programming on ESPN2 and be syndicated to nearly 25 countries around the globe.
The race includes 35 entries in the marquee SCORE Trophy Truck division (Including four SCORE TT Legend vehicles for SCORE Trophy-Truck drivers over 50 years old), the marquee racing division for high-tech, 950-horsepower unlimited custom trucks.
Besides SCORE Trophy Truck, the other Pro classes with double figure entries and their totals are Trophy Truck Spec with a SCORE-record 35 entries, Pro UTV FI with a SCORE-record 33 entries, Class 10 (23), Pro UTV NA (10) and SCORE Lites (10). Sportsman Motorcycle has 12 entries and Sportsman Quad has 10.
