More than 50 vehicles and 70 drivers will participate in the Coahuila 1000 Desert Rally 2020, which will take place from 26 to 29 August next, confirmed the director of the fair race, Patrick Reyes Morrison.
The director pointed out that just like the past year,  five helicopters of the government will watch and give assistance to the event, as well as the local elements of civil protection, health and traffic will be supporting the race.

"The inscriptions just got closed, the track is divided into stages, the first with a 500-kilometer journey from Saltillo to Parras, and the second from Parras to Torreón, with an identical distance", explained Patrick.

"We are going to have very fast riders, as for example, in the motorcycles category,  Eric Yorba of the Monkey Business team, who came from Ensenada and is the champion of the Baja 1000", reveals the organizer.

There will be a lot of UTV racing and we will have refueling every 100 kilometers.
The organizers also revealed that a total of one million pesos will be distributed in prizes for all participating categories.

"The challenge in this event is trying to not make any mistake and not break the vehicle while racing in a very complete circuit with technical and fast sections, and try to reach the finish line ", said the director of the team.

Finally, I would like to thank the support of the State of Coahuila, Haz Turismo en Coahuila, Saltillo Municipality, Raceline and Electrolit and also tell that in the past edition, 70% of the competitors who took the start reached the finish line."
