Rali dos Sertões 2021: Portuguese João Monteiro and Victor Melo will race the Sertões Rally

In its 29th edition and with 5.000 kilometers of extension divided in ten days, the Rally dos Sertões will count on the Portuguese-Brazilian duo, João Monteiro and Victor Melo. A debut for the current commanders of the national championship, which was immediately taken advantage of after the invitation made by a Brazilian team.

I was delighted to accept this invitation, and I couldn't refuse the chance to add this experience to my career. Behind the wheel of the VHSDM Can-am, I will make my debut in Cross Country Rally, that is, unmarked races on the track, which will be a great adventure and learning for me and Vitor in this type of competition. We are not going with great expectations at a sporting level, we will give our best, see this race as a learning experience and try to bring the best possible result to Portugal. Above all, I hope to enjoy and have the most fun during this participation and give the best feedback of this great adventure of ours!

The race will take place between the 13th and 22nd August and will start in the city of Rio Grande do Norte. The entire race will be held in the Brazilian Sertões through the prologue and the following nine stages, an adventure that the Can Am duo wants to overcome with distinction but without taking exaggerated risks so that they can cover as many kilometers and learn as much as possible.
