Sertões 2020:  New dates for 2020 edition of Brazil's biggest race

Due to the impact of the local elections will have in many details, especially connected with the logistics necessary to put such a large race on the move, the organizers decided to re-schedule the race to new dates.  So, this year's Sertões Rally will start on 31 of October in São Paulo and will finish on 11 of November in Vila Preá.
The race was originally scheduled for 7 to 15 of November, but the elections and the impact they will have on the local communities mean that in several cases the race couldn't take place normally, for example, some roads used by the participants or their assistances could be closed.  Another detail is the large number of people involved in the race, which is expected to be near 2000.  For some places, this number of people could also cause a problem for the local authorities and inhabitants for the elections to take place smoothly.

The anticipation of the race will not put in danger the security protocols related to the Covid-19 Pandemic, as all will be kept in place and run like originally decided, except for the dates, since the race will take place sooner.

The new dates mean less time for the organizers to prepare the race and will require an extra effort.  These new dates were found with the collaboration of the public and sporting authorities, to ensure the best solution possible for the 2020 Sertões Rally
