Sertões Rally 2019: Record breaking edition

On the last day for Sertões Rally 2019 registrations,  just right before the deadline for the participants make their entry, the organizers of the largest rally in the Americas have already confirmed a record of registrations. The final numbers will confirm this record next week when the official entry list will be released. The script of the race shows a Sertões with very high level of difficulty thanks to longer specials, complex journeys and a marathon stage in Jalapão (TO), where vehicles will be without technical assistance for at least 36 hours.

The start of Sertões will take place on August 24 in Campo Grande. The event will be part of the commemoration of the 120th anniversary of the founding of the capital of Mato Grosso do Sul state. This year's race will feature eight stages and over 2,832 KM of timed specials. In total, the Sertões caravan will cover 4,857km until its arrival on September 1 in Aquiraz (CE).

In its 27th. Edition, Sertões brings many news. Projects the future in three dimensions: Sport, Social and Tourism. The competitive side of the race evolves with new navigation, speed and technology challenges. The Social side, also known by the work of S.A.S. (Health and Happiness in the Sertões), practically doubles its ability to serve the sertanejas populations where the Sertões passes. Remote cities with poor population. Finally: the dimension, tourist. Sertões shows places that few people know and now has a structure that can take tourists to follow the race and all the surrounding attractions.
